Overview
The goal of Project Living Well is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), both those using Medicaid Waiver services and those waiting for services, to live a life of their choosing in an environment that promotes independence, health, and healthy relationships with family, friends, staff, and supportive community members. Project Living Well is a model demonstration grant providing an opportunity to look closer at aligning capacity building and quality initiatives and abuse monitoring efforts.
Major Activities
- Facilitate a state leadership group (state and community partners) whose focus is to discuss quality initiatives and policy change
- Use evidence-based practices (e.g., healthy relationships, positive behavior, person centeredness, family support) to increase capacity, knowledge and skills of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities IDD and their supporters
- Produce a report of model capacity building guidelines:
